The rumour mill is spinning a new one about Dolce and Gabbana closing their younger label D&G. The edgier label is hugely successful so it begs the question, why?Ohlalamag claims their source told them "
"I don't understand, because D&G is a line that makes 400 million euros, it's young and flexible and it's doing really well. It's a lot to ask retailers. In my case, for example, I don't carry the signature line, but I've never missed a season with D&G. Domenico and Stefano are clever, though, so they must have thought this out and consider it a wise strategic move"

D&G's final collection is thought to be Spring Summer 2012. Dolce & Gabbana had "no comment" to add to the rumours. Would this mean a their overall label would become cheaper?
