It's the moment you have all been waiting for. With a substantial flurry of tweets and blog posts from all over, I imagine you have already heard that H&M and Lanvin have teamed up for a very exciting collection. I held out until I could see the actual items and now that I have, well, they're fantastic.
The metallic flats photographed above are quite similar to the Christian Louboutin flats that circulated the blogosphere early this year. We couldn't tell if they were meant for men or woman, so it is a pleasant surprise to see Alber Elbaz has added his own version to the most anticipated collaboration to come out of H&M this year.
I am quite pleased that Elbaz didn't stray far from his Lanvin aesthetic by designing a younger look. I believe this is exactly what the fans were hoping for.

"We didn't want it to be like a second line, a Lanvin-B. We didn't want to go in their direction; we didn't want to "do H&M". We thought actually that they would have to go high-end, instead of [us] going lower. We thought about the collection and what it should be. We actually thought the way when we started the menswear five years ago: really not to think of it as a fashion collection but more of a wardrobe."
